Evolution of an Ecommerce based
BIMANI, born in 2012, is an affordable luxury fashion brand that respects the complexity of simplicity, designing quality basics that last over time. They create simple, versatile, timeless, and practical fashion, offering a wide variety of colors and sizes to reach all women. They started to sell online at 2014
BIMANI was in full expansion and growth of their online sales business for unique garments. For this reason, they required several Partners with experience in e-commerce solutions that would allow them to help their e-commerce grow to the level of their market projection.
They contacted us to give them support for their current Magento 1.9 e-commerce platform, as well as to be their infrastructure specialists to accompany them in the migration that they were going to carry out together with their development partner THE COCKTAIL, to evolve the current Magento 1.9 to Magento 2.4.
This evolution had to include new services and solutions to improve the architecture and guarantee high availability, fault tolerance, and scalability of the platform.
We started working with Bimani providing support to their current Magento 1.9 and making some evolutions on the infrastructure to comply with the upcoming campaigns such as Black Friday, Christmas, and sales, on which all the previous year’s sales records were broken without any kind of failure in the platform.
For migrating the e-commerce from Magento1.9 to 2.4 we deployed an infrastructure based on the inclusion of the main services required for an e-commerce platform: various cache systems(CloudFront+Varnish), scalability at the front end level, database scalability with Aurora MySQL, and queuing systems to guarantee orders and high availability in the back office.
To give more agility to the development team, we integrated several CI/CD tools and pipelines to automate deployments and migration processes.
After the migration of the whole platform to the new Amazon Web Services infrastructure, BIMANI delegated to us the full management of their infrastructure using our Managed Cloud service with 24/7 monitoring and support.
