Migrating from Google Cloud to
Amazon Web Services
Stemming from a microservices-based platform, designed (and hosted on Google Cloud Platform) by a 3rd party, PassportScan did not count with the guarantee of management and evolution of their platform.
Their business model anticipated a significant expansion at a global level, requiring them to take back the reins of their platform and ensure it meets the main needs: scalability, automation, and agility in the development of new services and solutions.
The client required the partner to not only accept the challenge but also fully understand their business model and guarantee support throughout the journey their business was about to experience(/embarking on).
Following an analysis of their current platform, where their ongoing problems were identified, their current GCP-based solution was refactored to an Amazon Web Services solution using Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) .
During the platform migration process, our team thoroughly analyzed and evolved the deployment, scalability, and elasticity models of the different microservices.
In order to guarantee a successful migration and ensure a constant evolution of their solution, a pre-production architecture was deployed for validation of all their services and applications before the final migration.
After the migration to the new AWS infrastructure and the success in migrating all their customers, PassportScan continues entrusting their infrastructure to us with a 24/7 monitoring plan and ensuring their platform remains 100% accessible and scalable.
